![]() A download link leading to the official Samsung provided software has also been provided for the ease of readers. Starting with the available versions of Samsung Kies for Windows and then moving on to those available for Mac, we will be analyzing the devices and operating systems supported by each. Therefore, this article focuses on providing such users with the up to date information regarding Samsung Kies. Samsung Kies is gradually being replaced with Samsung Smart Switch but a large portion of the Samsung device user base still uses kies. Moreover, it can be used to backup Samsung phones. Apart from data transfer, Samsung Kies serves other important functions as well.įor instance, Samsung Kies can be used to upgrade the firmware of your Samsung device or to resolve any problems with the firmware of your Samsung device. Samsung Kies can be used to transfer data from your computer to Samsung device and vice versa. The catch is these files take forever to download, so it'll take me a while, but let me know and I'll do your device next.Īnother Edit: PM me for a dropbox link to the actual tar.md5 fileĪnother Edit: PM me for a dropbox link to the actual tar.Samsung Kies is proprietary Samsung software for communication between a Samsung device and a computer. Also please update the SM-T530NU link in the OP because it's the same exact file from a much more reliable host, and mods please sticky this thread, at least once I've gotten more models' firmwares on android file host.Įdit: If anyone wants me to upload a particular firmware, just let me know, I'll be happy to do so. I've already started the SM-T531 file download (I did the Russian one because they were all international and the most chatter I've seen here on the forums have been about Russian builds, sorry, American here ) It's going to take a very long time to get these all but I am determined. I intend to download the other files in the OP starting with the 10.1 files and moving on down and uploading them to android file host, because as I already stated, the current situation is unacceptable. So I successfully uploaded it in its original compressed form. I extracted the actual tar.md5 file and tried uploading that, but it was 1.95 GB and failed to upload. This is the original download which came compressed in a zip file (obviously not a flashable zip file, do NOT try to flash this in custom recovery anyone reading this). (Slightly related, I can show anyone interested how to hack the 50 GB for 2 years promotion onto their dropbox account, it's reasonably easy and I'm loving the extra space).Īs requested I have uploaded the SM-T530NU NK1 firmware Odin file to android file host here. ![]() ![]() I've currently got 50 GB for my dropbox so the filesize doesn't concern me for now. Point being, the stock odin files are important resources and the current availability is simply unacceptable. If and when this download finishes, I plan to copy the SM-T530NU files to my dropbox public folder and I'd be happy to provide a link to anyone interested. This honestly isn't supposed to be a critique of anybody, just trying to bring attention to an issue. Not prohibitively expensive, but the concept of paying to receive the software that comes with my not-exactly-inexpensive tablet is a little to much to justify. It is $12.99 for the cheapest premium upgrade and $5.99 at. So now I'm waiting another 2 hours for the privilege of restarting what promises to be a 7-9 hour download. As far as Rapidgator, it downloads but it says it's going to take about 7-9 hours (I believe it) and when my admittedly sub-par Wi-Fi kicked out for a moment, the download cancelled and when I tried to restart it, Rapidgator told me I had reached the one file download per 2 hour time limit.
